Azienda Agricola Damilano, a part of the Vias Imports portfolio, has been making Barolo since 1890 when founder  Giuseppe Borgogno began bottling wines under his own name.  In the last twenty years, his great-grandchildren Paolo, Mario and  Guido Damilano ,have been investing heavily in vineyards and winery equipment and Damilano has been transformed into one of the leaders in Piedmont.  They now have significant vineyard land to produce increasing quantities of Liste, Cannubi, Cerequio and Brunate.  They also grow and produce most of the other commonly found varietals in Piedmont:  Arneis, Barbera, Nebbiolo.  But their most famous bottle, in our market and others, is the Lecinquevigne bottling of Barolo.

Damilano wines have garnered many awards over the years that have helped build the brands and encouraged consumers to pay the bucks for the wine in the first place.  The Damilano family and staff continues to be graciously welcoming and professional as we check in with them often while touring lovely Piemonte. Look for the wines of Damilano to only improve as time goes on.
