Among a handful of true pioneer wineries in the Russian River Valley and on the short list of what we’d consider winemaking royalty, Tom Dehlinger founded the winery in 1973 and it has remained a family affair since.
From the first vintage the wines have been among the most highly regarded from the region and among the most sought after. The enduring focus has been producing premium quality, estate grown wines and that remains the case more than four decades later as daughters Eva (viticulture and winemaking) and Carmen (sales and marketing) now handle day to day operations.
The winery makes just 7000 cases annually and wines are available to loyal mailing list customers and a select few markets for restaurants. We spent a bit of time convincing the sisters that Virginia and DC should be among the select few…
Very small quantities of laser focused Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are now making their way east and we couldn’t be happier.
