Foris
United States, Oregon
Green Status: Sustainable

Foris was one of our first wineries.  Based in southern Oregon, in the cooler, western part of the Rogue Valley, Foris is best known for cool climate grapes like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris.  Long own and managed by Ted Gerber, Foris employs many organic practices to grow grapes.  Ted would tell you that he’s a viticulturist, not a winemaker, and he employs Brian Wilson to play that role.

Ted owns several vineyards in the area that are blended or bottled as a single vineyard.  One vineyard, Maple Ranch, was originally the site of Rainbow Ranch, a cult of sorts who lived off the land and grew weed.

Foris has been an integral part of our portfolio and particularly important to our glass pour programs.  We are proud to have Foris in our Oregon portfolio.
