Mayu
Chile, Elqui

The Olivier family has brought winemaking to the northerly Elqui Valley of Chile through their transitioning of grapes grown for Pisco into wine grapes.  These mostly old vines are grown at high elevation in a very dry location, near the Atacama Desert.  The name “Mayu” is the Incan name for the “River of Stars” made by the Milky Way, and the Elqui Valley is one of the best places in the world to see the nightly light show.

Mayu is part of the Vine Connections portfolio of Argentine and Chilean wines, and Japanese sakes.
