We were originally attracted to Michel-Schlumberger Sonoma (Dry Creek) Winery because of the sustainablility of the vineyards and their style of winegrowing. The wines seemed to have more elegance and subtlety, rather than overpowering wines of high alcohol that can be so common in California.
Michel-Schlumberger was originally founded by Jean-Jacques Michel, from Switzerland, and Jacques Pierre Schlumberger from Alsace’s famous winemaking family. It has since changed hands, and currently, winemaking is being conducted by Bryan Davison and Kerry Damskey is the consulting enologist.
