Oxford Landing
Australia, Riverlands

Oxford Landing is one of the properties of Robert Hill-Smith of Yalumba Winery in Angaston, in the Barossa Valley of South Australia.  The Oxford Landing vineyards are composed of 650 acres on the Murray River in the Riverlands area of South Australia, several hours’ drive from the Barossa.

Riverlands is a warm area, and it relies on the ample sunshine and the Murray River to sustain grape growing.  Yields can be relatively high here, and it is the heat index that allows for the wines to be sold at such an attractive price.  Contrary to so many inexpensive California wines, Oxford Landing is made from a real vineyard in a real place by real down-to-earth people.
