United States, Washington

Powers wines are well-priced bottlings and BIBs (bag-in-box) from Washington state. The brand takes its name from the family farmers, Bill and Greg Powers, who planted vineyards and began wine growing in the late 1980s. Bill was a lifelong farmer, originally from Oklahoma, who had worked the land in Washington many years prior to starting in the grape growing and winemaking business. Bill passed away in September, 2014, but Greg carries on the legacy.

Powers wines are from grapes sourced from a variety of distinctive vineyards and microclimates in Washington state. The Powers family has long term relationships with premium Washington state growers and Roanoke Valley Wine Company focuses our attention on the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah produced.

The winery also produces the wines for the Badger Mountain Vineyard brand, which are all estate grown on land that was the first to be certified organic in Washington state, in 1990.
