Green Status: Sustainable
There are few names more recognizable for quality wines in California than David Ramey. First, Chalk Hill. Then Matanzas Creek. Then Dominus, then Rudd—he built them all. Finally David Ramey started his own winery in 1996, along with his wife Clara, under their own name. It is in Healdsburg, and working with some of the best known vineyards in Napa and Sonoma, that David has built his winery. David was the first to employ so many techniques in winemaker that are now considered widely used, like indigenous fermentation, even with white wines.
We are honored to have David’s wines in our portfolio and sell them in Virginia.
