In 2010, Rob received a phone message that went something like this:  “Hi, my name is Bob Foley from Napa Valley, I’ve heard about you and I would like you to represent my wines.”  Now THAT was flattering.  After all, Bob Foley has made others famous, most notably when he built the reputation of Pride Mountain, and then began his own successful venture in 1998 under the Robert Foley Vineyards name.

In 2008, he had excavators carve out an enormous series of caves in the hillside of his property in Howell so he could store his wine barrels at constant temperature.  Oh, and also the cave allowed for him to install an entire recording studio and performance venue so his band could play and perform and record.  Such is the life of a man with many talents.

Bob makes a host of wines, all which are allocated to us and tend to find their way through our warehouse and out the door quickly:  Cabernet Sauvignon, Charbono, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, a Claret, The Griffin (the top blend), Petite Sirah, Syrah and Semillon.

Interesting extra:  The Pinot Blanc was made for one simple reason:  his wife Kelly needed to drive all the way to St Helena to buy a white wine, as the only retail outlet in the small village at the base of Howell Mountain is owned and run by Teetotalers.
