We knew many years ago, well before our relationship with Shafer began, that we were destined to work together. After all, our two family-owned and operated companies had similar goals about quality and passion. It was fortuitous that we finally landed the Shafer brand through an in-state trade and it has been a great match for us (hopefully the Shafers feel the same way!)
To add to all this, Doug Shafer’s two sons both attended Rob & Beth’s alma mater of Wake Forest.
Shafer makes 30-35,000 cases of top cases of wine each year. Regardless of scores, they reserve the same amount of wine for the national distribution market each year, regardless of how much consumers would want to buy directly. That will really build loyalty from your distributor network.
Shafer Hillside is one of the most highly regarded wines from Napa Valley, period. Their other wines are also sought after and there never seems to be enough to go around.
