The Champagne house of Voirin-Jumel is located at the very south end of the village of Cramant, along the route of the Cotes des Blancs, the area famous for Grand Cru Champagne made entirely of Chardonnay.  It is one of just six villages (out of 319) that have Grand Cru ranking.

Alice Voirin and her brother, Patrick, run the estate.  Alice does the business side and Patrick runs the cellar.  Since they have taken over the operations, quality has skyrocketed.

We were the first importer for Voirin-Jumel Champagne in the United States.  However, word got out about the quality of the wines and now there are several working with the Voirins.

Patrick‚Äôs wife, Valerie, operates a bed-and-breakfast inside the winery for very reasonable prices.  If you ever want to visit Champagne, this is a very economic way to do it.  And the breakfast is first-class.
