Owner/Winemaker Erin Nuccio started making Haden Fig wines while working as an apprentice for Evesham Wood’s former owner, Russ Raney. When Erin eventually purchased Evesham Wood from Russ, he decided to continue producing Haden Fig to give him the opportunity to express his own style and continued passion.


Haden Fig wines continue to be quite different in style from Evesham Wood:  first, all indigenous fermentations are used (Evesham Wood uses an isolated yeast brought from Burgundy and kept in a lab in California) and the vineyard sources are different. 


Featuring lovely Chardonnays (Juliette is a house favorite!) and Pinot Noirs, Erin sources fruit from three primary vineyards: Croft, Cancilla and Bjornson, all with different flavor profiles. Croft Vineyard is in the coastal range, very near to the well-known Freedom Hill Vineyard, and is organically certified.  Cancilla is near Elk Cove’s Gaston property, the Patton Valley of the north Willamette, and is organically certified.  Bjornson is a young property producing amazing quality for such a youthful vineyard.  It is toward the top of Eola Hills and LIVE certified (sustainable).  All three vineyards are dry farmed.
