Walter Scott
United States, Oregon
Green Status: Deep Roots Coalition

Ken Pahlow and Erica Landon, husband and wife, started this winery in 2008.  There is no Walter Scott, per se, as the name comes from the combination of important people in Ken’s life.

Ken learned for 14 years under Mark Vlossak at St Innocent as well as Dominique Lafon, when Dominique was consulting for Evening Land.  (He’s now the consulting enologist for Lingua Franca.)  Ken has also had stints with being a winery rep and a distributor rep.

Erica comes from the world of wine education and has a sommelier background.  Together, this super-couple is heralded in the Oregon wine community.

We have been watching their progress over the years and tasting the wines whenever we could.  In 2016, we made the move to acquire distribution rights, and we are incredibly honored to represent their wines.

Ken and Erica source from some of the big names in the Oregon vineyard world, particularly from the Eola Hills:  Temperance Hill, Sojourner, X Novo, Clos des Oiseaux and Seven Springs, among others.

Look for seasonal releases of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay:  Willamette Valley AVA releases in the fall and most of the single-vineyard releases in the spring.
